Webinar: Leveraging the disability-related SDGs in your grantmaking – EFC Disability Thematic Network

In the framework of DHub, the EFC Disability Thematic Network is carrying out a series of activities around the link between the SDGs and the inclusion of persons with disabilities. The webinar was the first in the series and took place on June 26th. The overall objective of the webinar was to enhance funders’ knowledge on the Agenda 2030 and on how to leverage the SDGs in their work. The webinar, moderated by Teresa Royo, head of the Technical Secretariat of Disability Hub Europe, counted with the intervention of the following speakers:

  • Andrew Griffiths, Head of Advocacy, Sightsavers
  • Christopher Cardona, Program Officer, Ford Foundation
  • Diana Samarasan, Founding Executive Director, Disability Rights Fund
  • Sally Faiz, Head of Philanthropic Programmes, UBS Optimus Foundation

 

The speakers discussed the policy framework and gave concrete examples of how this framework can be used as leverage in the work and grantmaking of philanthropic organisations.
