One of the main objectives of the International Labor Organization (ILO) is to maintain the social dimension and give greater prominence to people with disabilities in development strategies. For this reason, the International Labor Organization has moved to Sharm-El-Sheikh with its own pavilion, the Just Transition Pavilion, a space for events, meetings and knowledge exchange on just transition and climate action, in cooperation with the UNFCCC, the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) and the International Organization of Employers (IOE). During these two weeks, the ILO participates in more than 35 events where you can find references to the entire social field.
We spoke to Stephan Trömel, Senior Disability Specialist at the International Labor Organization, about the need for urgent action to integrate people with disabilities into decision-making.
