The updated guide 'Disability in Sustainability Reporting: Adapting Disability Reporting to GRI Universal Standards' from Disability Hub Europe is now available in Spanish. Developed in collaboration with GRI and Fundación ONCE, this guide helps organizations understand how GRI reporting can be the foundation for disclosing their impacts, both positive and negative, on the rights of people with disabilities.
CONTEXT
In 2021, GRI released its revised Universal Standards to provide the highest level of transparency when assessing organizations' impact on the economy, the environment, and people. This meant that part of the content in the 'Disability in Sustainability Reporting' guide from 2019 became outdated in January 2023 when the 2021 version of the GRI Universal Standards came into effect. Therefore, this document aims to update content related to disability in sustainability reporting with reference to the 2021 GRI Universal Standards and retain everything related to the Thematic Standards.
Thanks to this update, organizations can fully harness the potential of the standards to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities
